You may have noticed that the span of time between this entry and the last is approximately three months. Thus, to my regular readers (assuming there are any), to anyone who has visited the site, anyone who will visit the site, anyone who stumbled upon it while looking for porn… okay, to everyone in the universe, my most sincere apologies.

It seems that my motivation to add new entries has been directly related to the number of people accessing the site. I had a “plan.com” at college which was similar to a blog, but with two major distinctions: first, you couldn’t access previous plans, so no one would know just how long it had been since I’d changed it; second (and perhaps most importantly), the system would give me a list of who and when people had checked it out. Thus, because I often had a high reader rate, I’d change it more often. Of course, the readers might have been checking out the plan just for the Dave Barry calendar quotes that I changed every day, but not all self-delusions are harmful as far as I’m concerned.

But the point of this entry isn’t to give myself a slap on the wrist, especially since I find it really hard to type with one hand. It’s to make a pledge that I’ll try to add more… well, more of anything in the future. I imagine it’s a lot more fun to read new stuff than to just peruse the same five blatherings over and over and over and over… you get the idea. So this is my pledge: even if I spew out another bunch of entries in the immediate future, I won’t sit back and vegetate for another three months to find out whether the effort has been worthwhile. Naw, I figure two should be just fine.
